I've used at least 3 other types of cell phone/mobile device holders & this one seems to be the best so far. Much safer keeping in view using maps while driving. No need to look down & fumble for my phone or it sliding off the seat onto the floorboards. The spring loaded arms I've used before wore out or broke. Also with the magnet holding from the back there is NO obstruction of any buttons or switches.
I was skeptical at first thinking my clunky iPhone 6plus with Lifeproof case would be too much for a magnet to keep secure in place. Boy was I wrong, this sucker is strong. I used the bigger metal plate since my phone with case is almost the size of an Amazon Fire Tablet. The metal plate is super thin & adhered to the back of my case with no problems of peeling so far. When getting in my truck I just tap it one handed to the mount & DONE. My passengers always look like "How did he do that" but never ask lol. It's strong enough to hold while going through rough roads, driving at highway speeds & I can even connect (press) my lightning charger in one handed while mounted. Blends into my case so much you'd not even notice it's there. Love that I can screen calls or texts with a quick shift of an eye to see if I need to pull over or respond later. Worked so good I had to get one for a friend of mine. She was always searching for her phone or looked down to find out who was calling or to change the song she was streaming. Now she can keep her attention up high where it needs to be.
Added a couple of pics. Not the best but didn't feel like taking my case off right now. You get the idea.

Very easy to use. The mount is magnetized and you just need to attach the thin piece of metal to your phone to have it stick securely to the mount. I just have the metal piece loose between the back of my phone and my phone's case, which allows me to easily move it to a different phone if desired. Or, if you want, you can peel off the paper backing on the mounting tape that's already attached to the metal piece to affix it more permanently to your phone or associated case. It's very versatile.

I use this for my Cobb ap for my car. It works great I can place it anywhere I need and it holds strong even under hard boost or launches at the racetrack. Haven't used it with my pone though. However I'm confident it would work well with it also

After doing much research I decided on windshield mounted (also comes with a plate if you want to attach to dash). Then the decision was what mechanism to attach phone to holder. The magnet idea works perfectly. Super easy to have phone attach/remove each time I enter or exit car. Plus everyone in the family can do the same with the metal plate attached to their phones. Excellent construction. Does not move on windshield. And magnet is strong enough that the phone is secure even over bumps. Excellent solution and excellent product. So I good that I ended up buying one for each of our 3 cars. I'm pretty particular and I really can't find any negatives on this. Highly recommend.

I own a Google Pixel 3 with a Google fabric case after installing the plate on the back of my phone and placing it in the case I headed out to test out the product in my car. My phone continually loses balance and rotates until it hits my dash. The placement of the plate as to not block my Qi charging capabilities makes it quite top heavy and the fabric material keeps it from making solid contact. Unfortunately it does not work for my needs, BUT it works fine if i remove it from my case. This, however, is a cumbersome and unnecessary step in my travelling habits. I was mislead by the box stating that it is "perfect for heavy duty cases".

With this you can jump in your car and, with the magnet easily hidden in your phone case, pop your phone securely on your dash or window. When you get out of the car you can easily take it out. No more frustrating fights with phone clips and other holders. I have an iPhone 6 Plus in an Otter Case and it holds it fine (just need to make sure its aligned properly). I bought some more of the magnet adhesive mounts and use them at home and at the office where I want to hang my phone. Highly recommend :)
A:Yes it should. You have a couple options. You can attached the plate to the back of the case or place the metal plate inside between the case and the phone.
A:It seems to me you could use it with a flip cover, as long as you're not too particular about the cover hanging down. Just stick the metal plate to the back of the phone/case and leave the flap hanging down.
If you didn't want it to hang down, it would probably not be that feasible, as the magnet wouldn't likely stick well through the flap.
A:About 6" long, extremely flexible. I bent mine into an "S" to get my phone exactly where I wanted it on my windshield. If you position it low enough, you can rest the phone on the dash for extra support, plus blocks less of your view.
Very solid mount... I use mine to record offloading video clips. Even went airborne once and the phone never came off the mount (just make sure you install properly).
