submitted bySHopki1 - 10 months agoA: I am an adult with a small mouth and this guard is barely long enough, front to back, to fit my back teeth which I clench and grind at night. It is also extremely wide so that eventually it rolls off the stiff bottom pad and I bite through it, through the soft stuff. These only last me a month to three months, and it's getting expensive to keep buying these. The break even point is 3 years for the dentist-provided version. I got about twelve off my last dentist-provided version and it fit much better. But until you can get in, it's a viable alternative, I'm glad this exists, and I really appreciate that Target stocks these!

A: Not in my experience. It does, however, do a great job of protecting my teeth from my nightly grinding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this dentek dental guard for free in exchange for an honest review. The mouth guard comes with a little box and is very easy to use. The fitting was very easy as well, you can heat it either in the microwave or stovetop and it’s very quick. You just heat it and the actual forming only takes two minutes. It really helps me to not grind my teeth too much and is also pretty comfortable. I think it’s a really good alternative to a mouth guard that you can receive from the dentist and it’s also way cheaper.

The tray to hold the guard is awkward and feels like it gets in the way rather than help. When I realized my first attempt wasn't a good fit, I tried again as instructed and it fell apart on me. I'm not even able to use this. Wouldn't recommend. Will keep looking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’ve ever gotten a professionally fitted mouthguard, you know that they are both expensive and uncomfortable. Mine didn’t fit anymore and I’ve been looking for a new one for quite a while so I was thrilled to try this out. It genuinely couldn’t have been any easier! You basically just put the mold into hot water, take it out, put it in your mouth, and wait two minutes. I definitely recommend reading the full instructions before you do it so that you know what all of the steps are gonna be because it goes a little bit fast, but it really was so simple and the directions were clear. I could do it in five minutes in my kitchen. The mouthguard itself is very comfortable, and has a nice thickness to it so that I really cannot physically push my teeth too close together. Of course I straight away had to take a nap in it and it was so comfortable, I didn’t even notice it was there and breathed normally. I love that you can also refit it if you do it wrong the first time so you don’t waste an entire kit. I will definitely be recommending this to everyone!

I have an overbite & crooked teeth and in the process to start Invisalign. I’ve had to get fillings on the side of my teeth because of grinding my teeth at night. I was looking for a bite guard that was affordable and would work since I’m waiting for insurance benefits to renew for a professional bite guard. This did not work at all. Like the other reviews stated, if you don’t have perfect teeth or alignment, this will not work for you.
