A: Hi Isabel---The Sanitizer does not replace regular cleaning and sanitizing guidelines for your breast pump and parts, and should be used as an additional preventative measure. The Sanitizer effectively kills organisms that could be of risk to moms and babies. Please refer to the instructions for use to properly clean and sanitize your breast pump and parts.

Q: Can it be used on the go for sanitizing pacifiers?

A: Hi Naz---Excellent question. The Sanitizer Spray has only been tested on Medela products. Medela does not carry pacifiers, so we have not tested on such a product. We, therefore, cannot recommend that it be used on pacifiers. The Sanitizer Spray is safe to use on our Medela breast pump parts, bottles, and even the feeding nipples. IT LEAVES RESIDUE! This product claims to not leave residue but it is false!! I sprayed it onto bottles, nipples, and pump accessories, left it overnight and woke up to it still looking the same as when I first sprayed. The label says to let it air dry for 60 secs, no wipe or rinse required but it is a lie. I feel like it wasted my time as I ended up having to rinse and wait for all my things to dry again.

I definitely prefer the Medela wipes over this spray. The spray takes too long to dry in my opinion and the wipes are a lot more convenient. I always have to rinse my parts after pumping or wipe down with a paper towel.

As a first time mom, I definitely worry about whether I’m cleaning everything correctly, and this spray gives me peace of mind that I’m using the cleanest possible pump parts for my baby. I mostly use it during my middle of the night pumping sessions, and I’ll definitely be using it when I go back to work! I do find that I need to wipe off the spray, though, or I notice a bit of residue.

Great for cleaning in between dishwasher sanitation. For me, I still had to rinse my breast milk off because the spray just doesn't break through the fat. I also wish it dried faster. But overall I am very happy with it and will continue to use it.

I've been using this to pump at work to make to whole process quicker and less stressful. I spray all my pump parts down after rinsing them off. I haven't noticed any sort of smell or residue so I guess it's working. The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is the bag it came in was all wet like it have leaked in shipping.
